D.D. signed the movie contract, leaving her legacy of star roles only unblemished, Pearl Baily played Dolly Levi for two years on Broadway, Nichelle Nichols went on to do Star Trek and Juanita Moore got her only substantial role after her Oscar-nominated role in "Imitation of Life" That was the last movie for Debbie Reynold under her M.G.M contract. After that, like D.D. things began to go south for her. Film roles began to fade, two failed marriages [After Eddy Fisher] and she had to file for bankruptcy. It's not racism. It Show Business.
